This is scary, sounds like everything was done right. Couldn't be picked up on a pre flight or maintenance, was wearing a helmet and seatbelt, had already released the load. Is there any learnings to take away from this?

It’s seems the c20 and more recently the r have been shitting the bed more frequently lately????

Having spent most of my career flying various birds powered by C20's and C20R's. 
This doesn't exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling. If you get my drift.

Not to mention that the wheel replacement is "Recommended" at overhaul, NOT mandatory. 
And if an operator chooses not to replace the wheel at overhaul. And then said wheel fails and kills people.
Are they not liable then?
What price do you put on a life(s)????

If you think safety is expensive, wait till you have an accident/fatality... replace the wheel.... IMO😲😔
