vortex, that's going back a ways ain't it???? far as i know one's dead a while ago and one has his own shop now...........

 

Yeah, it does go back...I never knew any of them by anything other than reputation. Is the one that "owns his own shop" still able to answer a phone? Was he a painter and then was all of a sudden really, really rich??? 'bout 55 years old???

The latest news report says "pilot error"

No kidding, wonder what gave them that idea? From what I read the wreck was a smoldering pile of molten metal. I guess the wizards at TSB were able to piece the parts together and rule out anything mechanical.

My guess is the faster they push it under the rug, the faster they can deny there is a problem.

Global BC did give out their names.....at the beginning of the Newscast, Friday PM I believe?, At the beginnig of the segment on the Crash, they mentioned that the families requested the names not be released, then at the end of the segment, they gave the names, typical press.

I don't remember the passenger name, but Yes, the pilot was R. L.
