new guy
Ok one of the pilots that i'm working with right now and i got into a discution about why landings are counted with the Astar. he was saying that he was told that it had to do with the cabin structure having to be replaced after x amount of landing cycles. now i'm farly new to the astars so i went to the manuals and found nothing about cabin structures. so as there is so much knowledge on here that i thought that i would ask you guys/gals if you know any thing about this. 212wrench
Remember you have to count them as un, deux, trois, quatra, cinq, etc.. lol
wrench spinner
Ref the PRE 05-99 Para 4.2 - gives the definition of a CYCLE - which includes landings and any major torque variation to the airframe. Components in the MGBX and also the M/R shaft have SLL that include either hours or cycle limits

Tracking and logging hours isn't too bad. There is allways the risk of guys going inadvertant IMC when they are tacking their socks off to count above ten. Sorry, could not resist.........
