Blackmac
Tracking and logging hours isn't too bad. There is allways the risk of guys going inadvertant IMC when they are tacking their socks off to count above ten. Sorry, could not resist......... Only in NFLD they say!!!!!!! Bell Hell
Your in real trouble when they get to 21. Or 22, if you're properly equipped.

freakadapter
Well, depending on what type of dogbone you have, cycles or GAG's (ground-air-grounds) are important. Pre mod dog bones, or bidirectional crossbeams require an AD to be performed every 150 cycles or 30 hours. They also need to be dye pen'd upon removal. I think they also have a 2000 hr. overhaul limit. I've never heard of the cabin structure GAG limit before.
new guy
i knew about the dog bone cycles as we have a premod one in the fleet right now (what a pain) but it was the cabin limit that the pilot came up with out in camp. i couldn't find anything on it in the manuals so i thought that i would ask you guys/gals. though it is sounding as though the pilot was miss informed or maybe it was a company requirement who knows. thanks
freakadapter
Ya, the cabin limit sounds like some yarn a previous engineer spun with that pilot. The PRE would give you a definite answer though.
new guy
i figured that the PRE was the place to go and there was nothing in there about the cabin and landings. so i am also thinking that someone was pulling someones leg as well
helidom
Gents, There definitely is no cycle limit on the AS 350 Cabin/Structure/Airframe! The major intervention is what we all know as the 12 year inspection, which the PRE states as an airframe overhaul. It's unfortunate that this inspection is rarely performed as it should be. Cheers
