Seasonal Outlook

i remember way back an ol' timer pilot told me:

"you flick out a cigarette, you got a 1 in 1000 chance of a fire. a white owl cigar? about a 1 in 100........ now a flare? that pretty much gives you a 1 in 1!!!"

when it comes to predicting a season? just remember, all it has to do is be dry for 24 hours in summer and we are in the extreme...........

when i worked in one particular province a new rule went out. no hiring locals for fires. i.e. they would fly in the southern boys to work in the north and northern boys to fly in the south. in an effort to stop the "black lightning"!
