Stevenson is a good school if you are looking at doing a true 4 year apprenticeship. You basically do 9 weeks of school a year for the 4 years and work the rest of the time getting real experience. First thing to do is find an employer willing to hire you on, and will let you leave for the 9 weeks. When you go back for the in-school trainiing portion you recieve unemployment plus the Manitoba government gives you an additional $100/week for housing. Hope this helps..................

Now that SAIT is at the airport, they have eliminated the best feature of the school, and that is about 4000 girls on campus (lol). sure bet they miss all those travel consultents and dental assistants.

NLC is a great school and is very helicopter oriented, even preparing students for the real field experience of dealing with a very limited amount of females. Its a great place to learn about social standards and how they may have to be lowered

Not to mention the parties on res. and beer gardens with live bands (that really made Fridays fun, gardens opened at 11 and we had a spare for 2 hours on Fridays that started at the same time!! Afternoons were usually pretty rough those days.)

have to throw in my 2 bits worth.

It's been so long ago, can't really remember much of school. ha ha

It was P.V.I. then, and most of the instructors didn't really have a clue of the real world. A few ex military, etc.

A few of the NLC guys actually work in the field on their copious amounts of paid time off, so are fairly current on the real world.

Also, the G.D. is a short walk away in case you like ballet.

Was just wondering........did you get hit in the head with a baseball or something?

Why is it exactly, you want to get into this business?

:D
