DTII, I'm sure you're aware about upcoming contract requirements in the US (I think starting January 2006) for all helicopters on gov contracts to have such a system installed.

I think you might have a very receptive buyer group within a year or so.

What is the monthly satelite subscription fee? How frequently does it update position info?

Oh, yeah, I think I might be interested in 3....

Now this is a concept that is long overdue. For pilots it is a huge safety net, for operators, tracking a/c and watching it's movements are indispensable, and I can see a huge plus for owners of lease a/c. It could be a huge tool for keeping everyone honest..... :up:

to my mind, after reading about this topic, the safety issue is by far the greatest benefit...

 

i was involved with CASARA for a few years after i got my licence and participated in a couple of actual elt searches...

 

something like this would make SAR's a whole lot easier... :up: :up:
