It's a shame that some people live for just today, with no knowledge whatsoever of history that might help broaden their narrow-minded and horrendously skewed views of the world. The world does indeed move forward daily. As well, history repeats itself. It's what molds the future. That's a great story. Thanks for sharing!

(Am guessing that second ship was loaded with gunpowder?) :)

Elvis -----two items that we'll class as "trivia" as far as history goes and the items that are not reported that often: 1) my great uncle was a 1st Mate on a tug that was working the Halifax shoreline when the blast occurred. He nor any member of his crew were ever found again (vaporized is the term) and 2) on my way to High School each day I passed a huge ship's anchor that was made into a monument where it landed. That anchor was from the explosion and had landed 8 miles away from the Harbour.....and it's still there to this day.
