Alberta heavy contract

Recommended Posts

Im going to throw out a guess to start up this conversation...

The contract will be more than likely awarded to a company or companies that are fairly new to the heavy world, one(s) who have very little experience or knowledge in the operating cost associated with such machines.

A company that will justify the low price of said contract by using lines such as ; "we do it for cash flow..."  or "our machine(s) are all paid for"

It definitely won't be to a company that has been operating heavies for any time, because they know the true cost !

it's going to be just like medium contracts that have been awarded in other provinces over the last couple of years.

To sum it up - its likely going to a company that is comparable to fish such as a carp or flounder 😂

It could go to a company that has been sending heavies to Alberta for years that try to run over other pilots in the circuit every time they launch.

It will be an interesting summer.

half the machines on your listing are not flying yet. It seems that finding serviceable dynamic components isn’t that easy...

Unless things have changed drastically over the last number of years sourcing parts may be difficult for the Super Kitty if they are required urgently. It looks as if one operator in the list has aguired 4, this may be a little easier if comments need to be scavenged for a quick RTS.

Also, I am sure the operator has done their due diligence with regard to the operating cost. My memory may be wrong but I seem to remeber that in the last few years I flew them they had changed something in the number of cycles that were allowed on some components and it drove the operating cost thru the roof. Again, I stand to be corrected on that.

You may even find that some of these are owned by foreign interests.  You can get around the company ownership requirements that way.👇  😉😉

🙄🤨
